BEN HURTSr. Pastor
BEN HURT

Sr. Pastor

Ben planted Gospel Community Church out of Gospel City Church in Granger and has been the Senior Pastor since we launched autonomous in the fall of 2020. He has been married to his bride, Nikki, since May of 2003 and together they have 5 children. The Lord opened his eyes to his need of a Savior at a very young age and he was saved after hearing a Sunday School teacher explain repentance. He was then called into ministry as a sophomore in college and has been greatly influenced by Gospel-centered teaching through pastors such as John Piper. His primary aim is for unbelievers to hear the authentic Gospel message of repentance and faith and for believers to understand that the Gospel applies to all of life. We never move on to greater truths because the Gospel IS the greatest truth! He claims Isaiah 26:3-4 as a favorite verse of Scripture, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”

Children's Director

Sarah is the part-time Children’s Director at Gospel Community Church. She married Dan in 2010 and they have two daughters together- Hayley (11), and Lauren (8). The Archers began attending Gospel Community in January of 2021. They have family ties at Gospel City in Granger and Redemption City in South Bend.
Sarah was saved at age 11 or 12 through the teaching of Romans 10. Her college years were transformative in her walk with the Lord, and she is thankful for how Campus Crusade for Christ impacted her life. One of Sarah’s favorite Bible verses is Psalm 9:10- “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.” As a former elementary teacher, Sarah has always had a heart for working with kids. She is grateful for the opportunity to come alongside families in teaching Gospel-centered truth from the Word of God.
